Happy Monday everyone and how are you? How was your weekend? Mine was great, I had my sisters hen party on Saturday and the rest of the weekend I spent with Fearne as she is back at school on Today. I will miss her but all the same it will be nice to get back into a routine again.

Today we have this gorgeous family shoot from Sarah Wayte Photography.  I cannot stress enough how important it is to document your families life.  Children grow up so fast and it’s so important to document every single moment of their lives.

A few words from Sarah the Photographer…..

This shoot took place on a fairly cold but sunny morning at the beginning of February over in Hockley Woods in Essex. I had photographed Sadie & Paul’s wedding back at the end of 2013 which was one of
the first times I had met their gorgeous little boy, Harley. Sadie asked me a little while back if we could

do a mini shoot with Harley because he was growing up so fast and she didn’t want to forget these lovely early years. The idea for the shoot came about when Sadie mentioned that she lived at the back of the woods and that Harley loved nothing more than to get his wellies on and go splashing through the puddles on a dog walk with his companio n, Rocky. I knew then that I wanted to document that walk as it will always be a great memory for Harley when he gets older. I think, too, that it is vitally important to photograph children in their natural environment in a way that they feel comfortable so you get their true characters on camera, rather than stiffly posed formal photographs!

A few words from the family…

It’s pretty difficult to describe how amazing the photos of my son are. Harley is your typical 3 year old boy. He wants to do boys things: jump in muddy puddles, climb trees and run around and be free. That is when he’s at his happiest. These photos caught exactly that! I’m a laid back parent. Who cares about mud and dirt when the kids are having fun? I needed a laid back and chilled photographer who could catch the moments of my little man enjoying himself! So, on a sunny, crisp Sunday morning we went for a stroll in the woods, a place boys can be boys rather than in a white background studio. We have pictures of big smiles, pictures of Harley looking at the birds in the trees, action shots and so muchmore! Treasured memories were made that day, beautiful photos to be kept for years to come. Photos are pictures of memories made, you’ll never see those moments again. Even when Harley took a nose dive into the mud, Sarah was well prepared with tissues. The tears were wiped away, the smile was back on and off we went
again! I can’t recommend her enough! Not only did she work with the two things you should never mix that day, kids and animals (Rocky the labrador was also in tow), she was calm and relaxed and was
happy to join in with puddle-jumping and traipsing through knee deep mud.  The understanding of
kids not working to plan goes a long way too! I wouldn’t use another
photographer. She is recommended to family, friends and colleagues now and she’ll be stuck capturing our families memories for years to come. She’s photographed our wedding, our son, the dog and most
likely the next Sampson baby when they come into the world in a year or so! Thank you Sarah for pictures of our memories made!
