Real Families – Baby Phoebe by Jess Petrie Photography

I have a lovely baby shoot to share with all our readers today. You may remember Jenn Edwards Boudoir Maternity shoot that we featured back in November taken by the lovely Jess Petrie Photography. Today we are delighted to be back with Jenn and Jess but today the star of the show is Jenn’s gorgeous newborn, baby Phoebe.

There is nothing more beautiful than images of a newborn baby. They are so beautiful, peaceful and pure. I do think it is important as a parent that we document every step of our children’s lives as it quite simply goes so fast and they grow up within the blink of an eye.

Kelly and I want to wish Jenn and her family huge congratulations on the birth of baby Phoebe.

A few words from Jess

I’ve developed a new-love for newborn photography.  I’ve always loved photographing families in their natural surroundings and observing them having fun whilst I discreetly snap away, so I recently decided to take on more newborn baby and family sessions as it’s something that I have had a lot of demand for, and I also really enjoy it.  I provide newborn and family photography for clients who want something more creative and personal in a dreamy and romantic style.

I would say that having a calm approach and plenty of patience really helps when photographing babies and families.  It’s important to give clients and their families time to adjust to me and my camera being in their space.
During my newborn sessions it’s important for me that the baby feels warm and comfortable and that the parents are also calm and relaxed.  I do give some advice and tips based around how to get the most out of baby and the session before I arrive.
