Today’s real travel post is today from myself and my husband Paul. Alongside helping Kelly at Boho Weddings I am very lucky to run a wedding photography business Paul Joseph Photography alongside my husband Paul. We were very fortunate to be flown out to Panama back in March to shoot a wedding there. In our spare time we took as many pictures as possible and I am here to share them with you for today’s real travel, Panama
This amazing place is steeped in so much history. One minute you are in the bright lights of the city the next minute you are in the ruins looking at decaying buildings and repair work.
The people of Panama love you taking pictures of their stunning country and their beautiful people. The food is amazing, very reasonable and so tasty. The fish we tasted was out of this world! Their choice of cuisine is amazing and there is so much variety. The street food is phenominal and we tried it on a number of occasions. The wine also… reasonable, tasty and so much better than some of the bottles you get in England. We chucked a bottle or two in the suitcase to drink back at home.
We mainly visited Casco Veijo. We stayed in a beautiful house called The Canal House. Casco is a little quieter than the City of Panama but every bit as beautiful. Casco has just been granted world heritage status so there is quite a lot of building and renovation work happening at the moment and I can only imagine the place will attract so many visitors once it is completed because of how beautiful it is.
Panama is hot, Very hot. As it is surrounded by the sea there is a constant breeze throughout the day which makes it comfortable. All the shops, restaurants and bars have air conditioning too so if it does become overbearing you can always jump in a cute cafe or bar to cool down.
It is such a hidden gem and underrated place. When we talk about our visit many people have never been. I urge anyone to go in a flash. It truly is amazing!
